Humdrum

Wake up in the morning, sun shines bright
Day after day, what a plight
Nothing to ever genuinely excite
Waiting desperately for some delight
Curse is this mundane blight

Fresh colourful vegetables on the table
Did you wonder how you got the daily staple?
At the crack of the Dawn, walking miles
To Collect the choicest of vegetable piles
Curse is this Mundane lives

Then came a plague, a pandemic
Then came a flood, unsympathetic
Then came a war, unapologetic
Everyone looked terribly pathetic
Searching desperately for mundane times

Humdrum lacks a lustrous sanguine
But, Humdrum is earthly banal
Humdrum lacks a exciting rhythm
But, humdrum has its own cadence
Humdrum is an unappreciated beauty!!!

My Humdrum is coffee and lives I save
Humdrum is a Divine boon
Hope we realise it soon
Poetry is the humdrum I escape!
