Letting go
Holding in a tender
yet tight hug
as if;
life depends on that lug
I held it tight
with all my might
like sand slipping away
me departing away
I held it further tight
time too wheeled
sand now a shattered glass
bleeding profusely
yet I held
letting go was ardous
grip I couldn't abandon
landing me into further ravine
grip becoming steadier
so did the suffering
holding my own clutches
I stopped breathing
clasp I left
my hand heavier than my being
raised my hands in prayer
falling into gorge
prayer or surrender
was I breathing
hungry for air
I let go: Now
I hold a cup of coffee
warmth in and out
holding and letting go
we are mere les miserables
