Walk
You cant just go
We are still talking
Thud the door banged
She stormed out walking away
Can I walk in her shoes
Can we walk in someone's shoes?
Do we understand What's it to be them?
The path is similar but shoes are different
The guide said its just a little hike
A casual walk you can do it
The group was enthused
Determined to make it to the top
Dressed in layers
Breeze suddenly can change later
They had trekking poles for supports
Ponchos if the rain reports
They set out
Talking and laughing
Walking and walking
Are we there yet? One asked?
One sped up probably he likes to be first
Other slowed down his health isnt that fit
One paused now and then to enjoy the Journey
Other completely lost while foot just walked
The distance slowly and steadily grew apart
Each one walking in their pace
One by one they have all gone ahead
One can hear only their own foot steps
The Companions all gone
Solitude comes drawn
The noisy Birds, streams flow
Sound of Silence is imbibed
Reaching the summit now seems foolish
The walk turned race felt prudish
Nearing summit, noises grew
Missing the solitude that withdrew
I walk past banging the door
Feeling numb at the treshold
Dont judge my path
You can't walk in my shoes...
My soul craves preserves Solitude
