Nimbus
I lay on the wet prickly grass and gazed
Winter sun is a tender solace
Sky filled with detached wispy clouds
Here and there flip and flop
Setting sun changes hues of silky clouds
I recalled they are called cirrus clouds
Detached delicate flowing across skies
Like the little child's boundless laughter!!
Winters waved good bye went to sleep
Spring in its glory woke up from slumber
There was spring in my steps too
Colours decorated the mighty boughs
Pinks purples reds and yellows
Flowery carpets filled the hearts and streets
Spring is an ineffable yearning and living
It's must and just, like a Mother's love!!
As sun grew fierce and furious
Beads of sweat on my temples
Nostalgia of raw mangoes and pickles
Of handfans and shrill voices on air cooler
Summer has kicked in and how
Time to nest and energise
Summertimes are to rejoice
It's like a starched cotton saree stiff and grace!
Sun's infamous for parching away
Gentle warmth turns into onerous heat
Too much of anything I propose
Is almost always a bait
The demure heat moves up to vapour
Skies sun and clouds patch up together
There appears dark clouds ready to pour
Nimbus is like Divine's grace when in need!
Fragrance when raindrops touch the earth
Mighty thunder and hail to cool the hearth
As I watch by the window, I see
Nature cares and caresses its wounds
Gently with fondness and devotion
I closed my eyes to the pitter patter
Inhaling the fragrance of truth
I nurse away my wounds and blues!
