Odd trinkets
On a summer evening
a sudden unexpected shower
the torrid affair of heat
needs some respite
drops of rain splash
dull day turns green lustrous
do rain drops too converse?
large one, asks magnanimously
oh tiny one, how do you do?
tiny one grouches
I may disappear with a blow of wind
perfect spherical one
looks like an untouched puritan
some raindrops collide together
few form odd trinkets
several others string into patterns
mist and drizzle chuckle
the small shy ones away
large magnanimous one says
let's become one boundless stream
she recollects her brief tease
with the rain drops
on a rainy evening
she runs to catch
dripping drop off the leaf
now hiding a tear drop
like an ancient treasure
to be never unearthed
in her realm
