Empty House

Do you remember them?
Them?.. people who stayed there.. that house?
The guy always looked admiringly at her
Laughter and music was in bounty
And...child she was always giggling! Perfect!

She says some intruder entered slowly
God knows, what happened ? he was brody
Was he? Time was to tell
Saw less and less of the guy
Lady smiled kindly..laughter heard occasionally..

And one day the house fell dangerously silent
Sealed from outside, like a far off Island
Walls waiting to let out the secret
Doors keeping the bitter safe secret
Windows could blew itself up from deep rut

Withering plants were hiding away ashamed
Spiders showed their unconquerable webs
Rocking chair has stopped rocking
Sun turned its back bringing in darkness
It was the saddest sight like a blotched canvas

Everyone who pried realised
It became an Empty, abandoned house
The questions, answers buried deep inside
Love humor laughter took umbrage
Walls nebulous wait to crumble

Did anyone see the intruder?
What happened of them?
Intruder is not always visible
Lurks like a dangerous shadow miserable
Intruder engulfed leaving them famished

May be someday someone
Will open the door
Divine laughter will roar
Sun will shine and abundantly pour

Note: Intruder here was meant to be mental health issues/ health challenges/substance abuse /alcohol dependency...all these turn beautiful homes into empty houses.
