Abyss
Darkness of the night
Some glowing city lights
Cool breeze touching her face
She took a swig of fire from her cigar
Sitting on the edge of the railing of 27th floor
Past midnight deafening silence
She looked down, further down, still further craning her neck ...uff
She fell into dark abyss
Lest she dropped the fire between her fingers
The tiny ball of fire slowly lingering down
She kept looking down into darkness
Illusion of catching the fire but she let it go
What is that she really longed ?
The fire? Illusion of fiery freedom?
Abyss tempting her night after night
To catch the fire and end it all
Moist sweat on her temples
Nightmare wrapped their evil hands yet again Shadowy dreams of ever tempting abyss
Demons she laid rest , hide in the abyss
She smirked at those demons
Lit a cigar the fire lit up the place
The warmth within gave her solace
Calms the demons of the abyss
She wonders
At the edge, will she have a choice?
At the edge, will there be magic?
At the edge, will she have a chance?
She fought many demons in abyss of her soul
She always found joy in tiny alcove
She found a fragile bridge over the deepest chasm
She found strength in abyss of eternity
Fire in between her fingers
Can it burn her?
Can it burn down everything she built?
Can it become the light in darkness?
